陳素花,河南清豐人,1962年出生,1998年3月獲得上海交通大學語言學與應用語言學專業碩士學位。先后任教于山西經濟管理學院(現山西財經大學)、蘇州工業園區職業技術學院,現為蘇州工業園區服務外包職業學院副教授,從事大學英語教學27年,主要研究方向為社會語言學和應用語言學。至今已主編出版《外企實用英語口語》、《就業英語》、《服務外包英語》、《商務英語口語》等六部教材,主持并參與科研項目多項,在國內外期刊上發表學術論文30多篇,內容涉及社會語言學、應用語言學,現正從事專門用途英語的教學與研究。
