Thomas Misco 托馬斯?米斯科瑙斯家族基金學者，邁阿密大學社會研究教育學教授，研究生部主任，本科畢業于威斯康星大學麥迪遜分校，后在艾奧瓦大學取得碩士及博士學位。米斯科教授的主要研究方向為跨文化語境中的爭議性問題討論及在屬于美國未合并領土的地區的公民教育，曾在中國、關島、日本、拉脫維亞、羅馬尼亞、塞班和韓國等地開展研究工作。曾獲獎項：邁阿密大學杰出學者獎，富布賴特高級專家獎，理查德?T. 德爾普杰出學者獎。已出版著作：《爭議性問題教學的跨文化個案研究》(2014年)。
